NeoMed is designed so you can work with it anyway you want it, but the normal work flow of a regular practice would be: 1- Enter a patient into the system: NeoMed helps you in this aspect by allowing you to quickly enter patients with just some minimal information and by allowing you to scan the medical plan card that would otherwise have to be copied and saved in the patient's record.
2- Take the patient's vital signs: With a very easy to use interface you can quickly enter vital signs into NeoMed. You can delete previous dates or enter new ones.
4- Create the patient's chart: When you open the patient's record for the first time, NeoMed will automatically create the patient's chart for you, adding the standard Summary sections, you can at any time and without having to go thru another screen add new sections to the summary.
5- Create an encounter and use templates: At this time you can begin entering information in your encounter. NeoMed remembers all the top ten Medications, Assessments, Labs, X-Rays and procedures you have used before so you can document your encounter by clicking on those items OR you can use a pre-built template to quickly select all the information. NeoMed will automatically update your encounter with the information on your template adjusting it so the comes out in a narrative way. NeoMed templates are actually attached to the database and are not simply text that you select from a list. After you complete your encounter you can sign it off or update your summary by clicking the update summary button, NeoMed will pass all the information from your encounter to your summary like active medications, active problems and the physical. 6- Print out the information and submit orders: With a few clicks of the mouse you can print out all the reports needed for your encounters, since you have already entered the orders for the patient, your secretary or desk personnel will be notified of the pending orders so they can obtain the results the next time the patient arrives at your practice. |
